Winchester Distillery was set up by Paul Bowler in 2014; then distilling in his home kitchen with a 20 litre still. It was there that he created Twisted Nose Watercress Dry Gin, their flagship, using locally grown watercress and lavender. Today they are situated in Old Alresford, just outside of Winchester, and surrounded by the watercress beds that the area is so famed for. Their spirits are hand crafted in batches of just 250 bottles, with all bottling, labelling etc being done by hand. Paul, the master distiller, uses traditional methods and local botanicals from the surrounding landscapes to bring together the tastes of Winchester Distillery.
