João Portugal Ramos is Portugal’s most famous winemaker. Before he began making his own wines, he was a pioneering wine consultant widely considered Portugal’s Pierro Antinori or Emile Peynaud (The New York Times).
This is a great example of how a more traditional wine can be brought more up to date. Lively, funky and fresh.
A cracking Syrah from the up and coming estate of JP Ramos. This wine has lots of jammy character, bordering on New World with its exuberant sweet fruit and soft tannins.
