Château Cantemerle

Château Cantemerle is a winery in the Haut-Médoc appellation of the Bordeaux wine region of France, in the commune of Macau. A very impressive, concentrated black fruit laden bouquet, fresh and expressive. The palate is rich, round and creamy, shouting black fruits – blackcurrant, prune and raisin, with soft integrated tannins and notes of cedar oak on the finish. This will no doubt be a real crown pleaser.
Great paired with duck breast with bacon, cabbage and balsamic dressing.
Harvest dates: 11th September – 10th October, the longest ever. Yields of 43hl/ha, the wine is aged for 12 months in barrel – 35% new, 40% 1 year and 25% 2 year followed by a further 4 months in vat. Alc 13.0%
