Maison Sichel

Maison Sichel is one of Bordeaux’s leading family owned négociants, now in its 6th generation, and a superb source of Bordeaux wine. Owners of vineyards spanning over 300 ha, they can lay claim to being vine grower, winemaker and éleveur. As well as owning Château Argadens and the highly acclaimed Margaux property, Château Angludet, they also co own the outstanding 3ème Cru Classé, Château Palmer.

Tasting Notes

House of Townend Claret is a blend of 65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Sauvignon delivering a seductive and alluring bouquet with ripe blackberry aromas. The palate is intense and powerful, rich in creamy fruit, finely woven ripe tannins, a hint of liquorice with a smooth and moreish finish. 2020 is a classic, stylish vintage.

Vinification

Produced from selected parcels of vines grown on the clay-limestone soils of the right bank of the Garonne River. A blend of 65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in vats to ensure a perfect harmony and freshness.
