Château Lamothe Bergeron

Nestled between the terroirs of Margaux and Saint-Julien, the vineyard of Chateau Lamothe -Bergeron enjoys a privileged location near the Gironde on gravelly soil. The property is run by Charles Lemoine, who is supported in the winemaking process by Hubert de Bouard of Château Angelus.

A robust and structured wine, with a superb fruit structure. There is a delicious, rich, black cassis character with an underlay of chocolate, notes of pencil lead, a touch of forest floor and fine tannins. The finish is polished and impressive.
Great paired with duck breast with bacon, cabbage and balsamic dressing.

Highly Recommended - Decanter, March 2023, Bordeaux Cru Bourgeois 2018 Panel Tasting, 91 points: “Blueberry, cola and cinnamon aromas in the note. A long as persistent fruit finish containing delicate vanilla and chocolate notes suggesting elegant oak influence.”
