An appealing, deeply glossy colour, opaque and thick in the glass. The bouquet is suave with fresh, uplifted aromas of ripe black cherries, followed by a succulent palate of cassis, plum and a note of expresso coffee. There is a naturally high refreshing acidity from the Cantemerle terroir along with a subtle, but notable hint of graphite and pencil lead. A great first vintage at their new winery.
Harvest 4th – 20th September with a yield of 32hl/ha. 12% press wine is included in the blend which is aged for 12 months in 1/3 new oak barrels.
