Domaine Prunier -Bonheur

The estate spreads over 8 ha divided into plots of various sizes in the communes of Saint Romain, Auxey Duresses, Meursault, Monthelie, Pommard and Beaune: a varied range of terroirs which makes the work of expressing the wines fascinating.
A very ripe, forward and richly expansive Pinot Noir, deeply coloured in the glass. The bouquet is sweet, ripe and forward, exuding lush notes of cherry and raspberry. This is repeated on the palate, with a touch of fresh pomegranate that brings vibrancy to the mid palate and finish. There is complexity and weight aplenty, and a lovely fragrance - 'Un Petit Volnay' as Pascal Prunier Bonheur says!!
Prunier owns 3 parcels of 40-45yo vines totalling 0.5Ha, all with perfect south east exposure and planted on friable, thin and rocky soils. The vineyard sits right beside a major Volnay 1er cru. 20% new oak is sued, with the yield averaging 42hl/ha in 2022.
