This delivers very good value for a top Pauillac. Almost opaque in colour, a perfumed, forward bouquet reveals a brooding and intense fruit aroma.

Château d'Armailhac

Formerly known as Château Mouton Baron Philippe this excellent property is still owned by the Rothschild family and is one to follow.
A wine which is almost opaque in colour, with a perfumed, forward bouquet which reveals a brooding and intense fruit aroma. The palate is fresh and balanced, quite meaty but in the mid-core there is mocha, cherry and rich black fruits. Structured throughout and with some weight. The length of finish is also very impressive.
Enjoy with a classic beef wellington.
Aged in 35% new oak for 12 months.
