Rüdesheimer Berg Rottland

Besides the Berg Schlossberg, the Rüdesheimer Berg Rottland ist known as the best vineyard site within the Rüdesheimer Berg. It is located west of Rüdesheim. The name of the vineyard comes from the Middle High German "rotten" (today: "roden", which means land cleaning). Riesling wines from the Berg Rottland are defined as mineralic and fruity. The vineyard site dates back to the 11th century when the land was cleared for winegrowing.

Tasting Notes

Light golden in colour with long legs in the glass and classic mature Riesling aromas of diesel. Balanced with flavours of pineapple, peach and honey with a medium body. Round texture with a medium finish. A beautiful mature wine.

Food Matches

Enjoy with red snapper with a citrus and fennel salad.
