Dr Franz Werner is the 7th generation of the family to run these prime vineyard sites in Hochheim. Some 10km from Weisbaden, he has a collection of single vineyards from which he produces exquisitely balanced wines that a have a fine mineral quality and great class, winnning medals galore!

We should drink more of wines like this! A beautiful, classic Riesling from this wonderful family owned estate in Hochheim. The bouquet is so aromatic, bursting with citrus aromas and a touch of classic petroleum.( …never sounds good, but it smell great!) The palate is crisp, dry but with a creamy texture, bags of tropical limes and a steely, quenching acidity. Quite wonderful!

An excellent accompaniment to spicy, asian dishes.
