Château Doisy-Védrines, the largest of the Doisy estates and a 2ème Cru Classé Barsac property has been owned by the Castéja family since 1946. Doisy-Védrine's 27 hectares of vineyards are situated on the highest plateau in Barsac.
Thanks to the botrytis, this wine develops aromas of exotic fruits, quinces and orange. There is a lot of complexity in this wine, a good length in the mouth and a delicious smooth finish.
An excellent wine as an aperitif or alternatively try with blue cheese like Stilton.
The grapes are handpicked. Only botrysised grapes are selected. Fermentation in barrels. Winemaker is Hervé Romat.
