Tasting Notes

This is a magnificent result, given the viticultural challenges in June 2023. A charming Merlot rich wine, velvety in texture, full of concentrated black fruits and juicy plums with a delicious raspberry freshness. The tannins are subdued and supporting and the finish is intense.

Food Matches

A perfect partner for roast rack of lamb served pink.

Vinification

Destemmed 100%. Fermented plot by plot, in small stainless and cement vats with manual pumping over and punching of the caps. The wine is aged for 18 months in fine-grained French oak barrels (30% new)
