Château Le Gay

This 6.50ha estate is situated to the north of the Pomerol plateau and is in a rich seam of form in recent vintages, with micro-vinification of each individual plot.

Richly succulent and very moreish, the semi rigid tannins are polished and hold the sweet, dense and smoky black cherry, raspberry and pomegranate fruit structure perfectly. This is a weighty, glossy and refined wine, with 85% Merlot adding more than a hint of mocha and chocolate to the long finish. The oak adds texture and sweetness, the finish is rich and long.
Harvest 2nd 11th September with a yield of 19.5hl/ha. Will be aged in 100% new oak barrels. Alc 14%.
