Château Grand Corbin enjoys an enviable position on the north western plateau of Saint-Émilion, close to the border with Pomerol where its gravel and clay soils consistently produce wines of richness, charm and balance. This long established estate has been a fixture of the appellation for centuries and today remains one of the most reliable Grand Cru names, combining traditional Right Bank character with increasing refinement in the cellar. In 2025 Grand Corbin made a wonderfully judged wine with the dominant Merlot component and smaller yields of just 30 hl/ha giving a restrained, elegant, and yet opulent stye. Succulent red and black cherry fruit, laced with dark chocolate, coffee and baked plum. The tannins are held in check by the ripe fruit, a benefit of the blue clay soil. The result is a muscular yet rounded and approachable wine with real breeding and complexity.
Harvest 25th August – 15th September with a yield of 30hl/ha. Aged in 35% new oak for 12 months. Alc 13%.
