Château Liot

This 25-hectare property has been in the David family for several generations and is currently run by Jean-Gérard David. Although it is labelled Sauternes, it is actually situated on the Haut-Barsac plateau on typical red clay over limestone soils, in the commune of Barsac, next to Château Climens.
An exceptionally dry summer in Sauternes led to a late development of Botrytis Cinerea with the harvest beginning with the 1st sort on September 28th. This vintage, Liot possesses a brilliant and golden colour, a true aromatic clarity and a rich and concentrated palate. It is ageing in oak barrels for 18 months, and will become a lush and unctuous wine of great concentration.
A wonderful wine to be served as an aperitif, or equally a superb accompaniment to blue cheese and desserts.
The grapes are picked late, with the harvest beginning with the 1st sort on September 28th. Aged in oak barrels for 18 months
