Champagne Billecart-Salmon

Billecart-Salmon, a medium-size Champagne House in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, was founded in 1818 by the original owners Nicolas Francois Billecart and Elisabeth Salmon who combined their names on marriage to create the brand. It is one of the few remaining Champagne houses to remain family owned. Billecart-Salmon is renowned for the quality of its delicate Brut Rose, whilst the Brut Reserve (a blend of three vintages) is a beautifully harmonious and balanced wine. All have the ability to age very well.

With its distinguished elegance, this wine offers an exceptionally precise expression of Chardonnay, showcasing the natural balance and harmony of the region’s best Grand Cru vineyards: Cramant and Chouilly for finesse, and Mesnil-sur-Oger for structure and longevity. The nose is complex and refined, with pronounced minerality, floral notes, ripe citrus, and delicate nutty aromas. On the palate, the wine delivers a creamy texture, with beautiful finesse. It offers a refreshing balance of natural flavours, including citrus, biscuit and a hint of white pepper.
Pair with king scallops.
