Bordering to the north by the Tagus River and Algarve to the south, the Alentejo region derives its name from Alem Tejo, which literally means ‘beyond the Tagus’. It is one of the most dynamic wine regions in Portugal. The Evora sub-region is known for its hot, dry conditions and the wines are typically robust and multi-layered with good acidic balance. The Geno wine specifically come from vineyards that have a high granite content which imparts great freshness to the wines.
Bursting with tropical fruit and a refreshing streak of lime, this is a fresh and fragrant wine. The Roupeiro grape adds ripe citrus fruits, Arinto brings acidity and freshness, while Antão Vaz delivers ripe tropical notes.
