Château Musar

In 1930, at just 20 years old, Gaston Hochar founded Château Musar, inspired by Lebanon's 6,000 year winemaking tradition and his travels in Bordeaux. His 'wines with noblesse' greatly impressed senior officers in the army following on from the Franch mandate of the 1920s. Major Ronald Barton, of Château Langoa-Barton, stationed in Lebanon during World War II became a great friend, strengthening the links between Château Musar and Bordeaux that remain to this day.
On the nose crisp apple, elderflower and passionfruit with subtle honey notes. On the palate a burst of pineapple, peach and quince coupled with jasmine to balance the intensity. A dry and long finish.
Drink with a spicy and aromatic salad or a herb marinated chicken
Made from Viognier Vermentino and Chardonnay vines that have been planted since 200 and 1,000m above sea level. The cool climate and mountainous terrain make these white grape varietals develop uniquely than in other regions. Fermented in cement lined vats and released a year after harvest.
