Along with Domaine Tollot Beaut this 15 ha domaine was one of the first to bottle its own wines, back in the 1930’s. It is now in the hands of the 5th generation, Etienne Grivot, who produces some of the most classic wines in the whole of Burgundy, with an average vine age of around 45 - 50 years old. This is a blend of several different sites from across Vosne-Romanée The bouquet is so aromatic, rich in blue fruit, black cherry and spice. The mouthfeel is creamy, laced with cherry liquor and supported by delicious tannins that are ever so silky. This is a lovely insight into Grivot’s style.
100% destemmed. Aged in 20% new oak, 20% 2nd wine and 60% old barrels
