This 20 hectare estate is the ‘sister’ to Léoville Barton and in recent years has come out of its shadow.

Château Langoa Barton

This 20 hectare estate is the ‘sister’ to Léoville Barton and is also very fairly priced for the consistency of its quality. The grape varieties and wine-making methods are similar to these of Léoville Barton. Wow – what a wine! Aged in 60% new oak, this is another impressive vintage at Langoa.
A very intense, concentrated and fresh bouquet, the palate displays a wonderful velvety texture with blueberries and blackberries, a touch of herb and savoury spice, polished tannins and a lovely graphite streak. Balanced with a charming freshness, this is a wine with real personality.
We love to drink this wine with a fillet steak and blue cheese sauce.
Yields of 34hl/ha. Aged in 60% new French oak this is a wine for the long term.
