Château La Vieille Cure

When America meets Bordeaux! Owned by Americans, Colin Ferenbach and Peter Sachs, who are advised by consultant oenologist, Michel Rolland, this Château produces wine with a distinctive, rich American style. It is situated on an exceptional terroir, facing Pomerol, with high clay content.
Dark in the glass, broodingly powerful nose with dense, succulent mulled black fruits, raisined berries and boiled jam notes. This is blackstrap fruit, dense liqourice, black olives balanced with a smoky, peppery tannin structure leading to a hedonistic finish. Warming and generous, this is a thick, heady and full bodied wine. American Claret!
Great with rib eye steak and onion rings.
Yields of 44hl/ha. Aged between 12 and 15 months in 70% new oak barrel (merrain)
