Château du Courlat

From the long driveway of Cyprus trees on your approach, this estate inspires peace and tranquility. Nature is present at every turn, with a large lake at the centre of vines, forest and Château.
Dark purple in colour, the nose is dense, full of blackcurrant aromas and a light smattering of oak. The palate is incredibly concentrated and ripe, with blackberry coulis, stewed prunes and cherry liqueur, but there is also a delightful freshness which provides perfect balance. This is one to note.
Pair with classic meat dishes, veal, pork, beef, lamb, duck, game, roast chicken, roasted, braised and grilled dishes.
Yields of 38hl/ha. Destemmed 100%. Fermented in stainless and cement vats, with manual pumping over. Aged in vats and fine-grained French oak barrels, 30% of which is new.
