Jordan Vineyard & Winery
Established in 1972, by Tom and Sally Jordan, Jordan Vineyard & Winery was inspired by the great wines of Burgundy and Bordeaux. Jordan estate farms on 1,200 acres in Sonoma’s cool Alexander Valley, north of Napa and represents quality and consistency, with focus on producing only the very best Chardonnay and Cabernet which show a distinct focus on the greatest names of Burgundy and Bordeaux.
One of California’s most awarded wine estates and now headed by 2nd generation John Jordan, these wines are World class on every level! John along with winemaker Rob Davis, who has been responsible for every vintage of Jordan since the inaugural 1976, continue to preserve the great ecological richness of this property, achieving numerous sustainability certifications.
The diversity of the estate vineyard blocks with clay-rich soils like the Right Bank of Bordeaux and some of the best family grower parcels on mid-slope, well-drained Sonoma County vineyards with mineral-rich, gravelly soils reminiscent of Bordeaux’s Left Bank, gives their Cabernet Sauvignon a complexity found only in the top first growths of the world.
Tasting Notes
"Mirroring the classic elements of a grand cru Chablis, this is a rare expression of Chardonnay that shyly but exquisitely excites the senses. Pretty aromas of citrus blossom and passion fruit spring from the glass. Its elegant palate reveals flavors of lemon, Asian pear and kumquat with a beautiful weight and roundness—all supported by an attractive, crisp backbone of acidity. A lingering finish laced in succulent citrus begs you to take another sip. Enjoy now or cellar through 2023." (Ref: Jordan Winery)
