Château Fourcas-Hosten

This Château is the finest producer in Listrac, one of the six appellations of the Haut-Médoc. Purchased in 2006 by two brothers, Laurent and Renaud Mommeja, members of the Hermès luxury-goods family, the 47 hectares of vines are planted on clay and limestone, as well as a gravel plot nearby hamlet in Fourcas.

A perennial favourite amongst British claret lovers - a wine that offers real VFM! A well balanced nose, sour cherries laced with raspberry coulis. There is more structure and rigidity but with a spice mid palate, and a degree more freshness and minerality that adds balance to the sweet mid to finish. A very classic claret.

Pair with classic meat dishes, veal, pork, beef, lamb, duck, game, roast chicken, roasted, braised and grilled dishes.
