1973; the same year that the Ventoux earned the designation of Appellation Contrôlée, an opera loving Brit by the name of Malcolm Swan bought Domaine des Anges. Malcolm was different, he decided to vinify wine in his own cellar. He even chose to plant Cabernet Sauvignon vines, a variety still considered alien in this area. Malcolm became a long-standing pioneer for the wines of the Ventoux. This Cabernet is a powerful hit of fruit and spice, rich, elegant and moreish.

Located in the rolling hills of the Provence, Domaine des Anges combine traditional winemaking with organic practices and have a high reputation for quality wines.
Deep red with a purple tinge. A bouquet of Blackcurrant, cherry, sweet spice and Vanilla. On the palate the fruit develops further into cooked plums and cassis. Smooth but intense tannins round off into an elegant finish.
The grapes are handpicked before crushing / destemming. Temperature is kept to 24°C to preserve primary fruit flavours. Pumping over is a technique used for good extraction of tannins and colour.
