Lucien Camus produces arguably the finest wines in the Savigny Les Beaune Appellation at his 9ha domaine, blessed with a high percentage of old vines. A meticulous and talented winemaker, Lucien is very wary of the amount of new oak used when making his wines, limiting it to no more than 25%. This is a beautiful fresh Pinot Noir which is crafted in the classic Camus way. It offers great value and will drink when relatively young.

Domaine Camus-Bruchon et Fils

Guillaume Camus of Domaine Camus-Bruchon is one of the very finest red winemakers in the Côte de Beaune. Located in the village of Savigny-les-Beaune, just to the north of Beaune proper, the Camus fashion beautifully balanced, deep and complex wines that are the epitome of what great Burgundy is all about. The family has a lovely spread of top vineyards in Savigny-les-Beaune (both superb premier crus and a handful of top village wine parcels planted with very old pinot noir vines), as well as a bit of premier cru in Beaune and Pommard as well.
A fresh, ripe and earthy nose adding depth to the red and dark pinot fruit aromas. The wonderful round, intense red fruity flavours possess a fabulous mouth feel with well integrated tannins.
Goes well with garlic and rosemary infused pork.
