Domaine Lécheneaut

This superb 10ha domaine was created in the 1980’s by Fernand, father of Philippe and Vincent who now run the domaine. The wines are very exciting and sumptious, brimming with expressive and beautiful Pinot Noir characters, with 30% whole bunch fermentation. The wines are aged for 12 months in barrel with 80% being supplied by Francois Frères.

This wonderful Nuits comes from 7 separate parcels, 1 of which is within the 1er cru’s of Les Damodes. The richness of the colour is mirrored on the nose, expressing a lovely creamy red-berry sweetness. On the palate the wine exudes class and richness, with elements of red fruits, spice, menthol and sweet oak, wrapped in ripe and sturdy tannins. This is a wine that feels classy, elegant and complex.
