Domaine Lécheneaut

This superb 10ha domaine was created in the 1980’s by Fernand, father of Philippe and Vincent who now run the domaine. The wines are very exciting and sumptious, brimming with expressive and beautiful Pinot Noir characters, with 30% whole bunch fermentation. The wines are aged for 12 months in barrel with 80% being supplied by Francois Frères.

A deeply coloured, rich and structured Nuits, showing a degree more freshness that cuts through the ripe sweet red fruits. Balanced and taut, the core of fruit is streaked with mulling spices, raspberry, sweet oak and succulent on the finish.

The beautiful terrain, partly with a Northerly exposure, thicker clay soils and height of the vines above ground give this wine a definite freshness and vibrancy. Partly destemmed, with 35% new oak.
