M. Chapoutier

For the last two hundred years in the Rhone Valley, and today also in the Roussillon and in Australia, Chapoutier has been producing some of the greatest wines: Hermitage, Côte Rôtie, Chateauneuf du Pape, Saint-Joseph, Crozes Hermitage, Luberon. Michel Chapoutier is one of the most highly regarded winemakers in France. Since taking over his family firm in 1990 at age 26, Michel Chapoutier has transformed the winery into the leading Rhône Valley producer. He combines the modern and the traditional: crusading for biodynamic winemaking, while expanding operations around the globe and experimenting with cutting edge winemaking techniques.
Deep red in appearance with aromas of raspberry, and violet, spice, black olive, and a hit of rosemary. An elegant, well structured and balanced wine which can be kept for between 30 and 60 years, and even sometimes for as long as between 50 - 75 years.
Try with a pot roast or braised pheasant.
