Château Tour St Bonnet

This 40 hectare estate, owned by Jacques Merlet, is situated in the north of the Médoc in the commune of St Christoly. Produced from 35 year old vines and aged for 18 months in large oak foudres, this is always offers superb value for money.
A deep fruit packed bouquet, moreish black fruits are in abundance on the palate, with firm, supporting tannins and notes of cedar and graphite that typifies this appellation. The Cabernets provide the structure to the rich plummy Merlot, balanced by an even, balancing freshness and a touch of minerality.
Try with a rustic country terrine, game stew or rabbit stuffed with prunes. Ideal also with lamb or beef kebabs.
Produced from 20-30 year old vines, yields were a mere 25hl/ha. Aged for 18 months in large oak foudres.
