Rauzan-Segla is a benchmark Super Second Growth that in 2025 delivers its signature blend of polish, power and refinement. The bouquet is rich with blackberry, black cherry and cedar spice, leading into a plush, classically Margaux palate of cassis and damson. Silky, well integrated tannins provide structure and depth, giving a poised yet muscular expression of the vintage.

Château Rauzan-Ségla

This 43 hectare château has made major strides since its purchase by Chanel in 1994. It is fair to say that it now punches fully to its 1885 classification and is one of the great Super-Seconds. Only half of the harvest is used in the first wine of this illustrious property. The first vintage produced by new winemaker Nicolas Audebert is a resounding success.

Tasting Notes

The bouquet is rich and ripe showing blackberry and black cherry fruits as well as cedar spice. The palate is classically Margaux in style with a rich and voluptuous core of fleshy and textured cassis and damson fruits. The tannins are polished and suave, giving muscularity to the core structure. This is a top wine in 2025.

Vinification

Harvest 2nd - 24th September with a yield of 29hl/ha. Aged in 60% new oak barrels and 40% 1 year old barrels. Alc 13.5%.
