The vineyard is located in the Moulis-en-Médoc appellation, and the soil is a mix of clay-gravel, ideal for cultivating Cabernet Franc and Merlot, while another section features fine gravel and gritty sand, providing the perfect conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon to achieve full ripeness.
As with all the Barton family's endeavours, great importance is attached to environmental protection and the quality of the wines produced. The 55-hectare vineyard is planted with 54% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 11% Cabernet Franc.
A very alluring bouquet - rich ripe and fruity. The palate offers a wonderful drinkability with bags of ripe black and red fruits, succulent tannins and a blueberry freshness. The finish is long and elegant with bags of finesse. A star buy!
The grapes undergo a careful selection process. They are then transferred to temperature-controlled stainless steel vats for fermentation and maceration. The aging process lasts 12 to 15 months in French oak barrels, one third of which are new. These barrels are placed on a gravel bed to help regulate humidity and promote the optimal maturation of the wine.
