This Château is always one of the best selling wines, due to its consistent high quality and the long standing commitment by the Barton family to maintain a sensible pricing policy. The vineyards are intensely planted with 9,100 vines per ha. Aged for 18 months in 60% new oak, this is a balanced and impressive claret, very much in the Leoville style.
Harvested between 24th September – 5th October with a yield of 30hl/ha and aged in 60% new oak for 18 months. To be bottled in June 2026. 12.9% vol. Lilian commented that “2024 was an expensive year to make wine….. with a lot of weekend working. Mildew doesn’t wait for Monday!”
