Château Beau-Site

Owned by Philippe Casteja, owner of Château Batalley, since 2002, this château is situated outside the village of St. Corbian, next to the 3rd Growth Château Calon Segur, one of Ste Estephe’s finest properties. Overlooking the Gironde Estuary, this Cabernet Sauvignon dominated wine offers outstanding value for money
Deep colour, inky black to the rim, the bouquet is very, very appealing with stewed black fruits, almost confiture in character. The bouquet carries onto a finely balanced palate of ripe and lush black fruits, spice, and a freshness that appears almost earthy and tangy at the same time. Notes of Parma violet, sweet oak and finely tuned tannins show well at this early stage. Aristocratic for its appellation, this is an excellent wine.
Delicious with rare roast beef with seasonal vegetables and yorkshire pudding.
Vinified traditionally and then matured in 50% new oak casks for 12-15 months
