Originally bred as hunting dogs, majestic greyhounds are constant companions in the life of Jo Irvine the winemaker and have also been associated with royalty, warriors and noblemen for centuries. "The Odyssey" written by Homer in 800BC, mentions the legend of Argos, a faithful greyhound waiting for his master Odysseus to return after 20 years fighting the Trojans. When he finally does return home, he disguises himself as a beggar and the only one to recognise him was his loyal greyhound Argos. (Ref: Levrier by Jo Irvine)

Intense ruby colour in appearance. Packed with rich, dark red and blueberry fruits with 40% new French oak and an elegant, silky tannin finish.
Try with Beef Bourguignon pie and potato mash. Or perhaps char grilled Beef with roasted baby beetroot, field mushrooms, and roasted sweet potatoes.
Personally selected single vineyard fruit from dedicated Barossa and Eden Valley growers, matured for 24 months in specific new French oak barrels and bottle aged for a minimum of 12 months before release.

Highly Recommended - Decanter, May 2023, Barossa Shiraz Panel Tasting, 90 points: "Generous, with savoury, dark fruit aromas. Opulent and sweet on the palate with a silky feel, cocoa and nougat with toasty oak and roasted black fruits give way to a lingering finish."
