This renowned property was included in the new Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel classification in 2003, and rightly so as many think it worthy of Cru Classé status. It is always extremely popular with our En Primeur buyers as it provides terrific drinking at a relatively sensible price. Produced from a yield of 50hl/ha, this is a lovely wine.
A classic Chasse Spleen bouquet, vibrant and full of black fruits with a little leather showing. The palate is lively and a little rumbustious but settles down after a couple of hours in a decanter. A very well made wine.
Enjoy with sticky spiced lamb shanks and mustard mash!
