Château Cantenac Brown

This château has historically been overlooked as a source of top claret. That all changed back in 1989 when it was acquired by AXA Millésimes, also owners of Pichon Baron and Lynch Bages. Since then it has been on a constant upward trajectory and is now producing excellent wine with great consistency.

This is a stylish and generous Margaux, with supple black fruits that open out and coat the tongue, supported by the fresher raspberry and red cherry that lifts the whole ensemble. Poised, almost brooding quality gives interest and the feeling of real power. Lush fruits in the mouth, a nice degree of sweetness and a lovely balancing freshness.

A perfect partner for roast rack of lamb served pink.

Aged in 60% new oak barrels
