This is an excellent wine, very much in the style of Sauvignon Blanc that has made Marlborough famous, fresh grassy aromatics with superb texture and palate weight and fresh overall crispness. A small proportion of the wine is barrel fermented adding complexity and richness.

Mahi is situated in Marlborough on the north-eastern corner of New Zeland's South Island. It was established in 2001 by Brian and Nicola Bicknell, and in 2006 they purchased the historic winery which gave Mahi a home and a sense of place.
Showing an array of fruit characters, ranging from citrus through to tropical notes, which is complemented by some secondary characters from the natural yeast ferments and some barrel aging. The palate has an elegant structure with a creamy, textural mid-palate and a long finish.
