Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe

Vieux Télégraphe is one of the most renowned estates of the Southern Rhône. The large Domain has about 45 hectares of red grapevines planted, with an average age of around 55 years. Blessed with one of the finest locations in the area, the particularly hot microclimate is such that the Brunier Family, owners of the estate for almost a century, are able to harvest as much as a week ahead of their neighbours.

The nose is expressive, showing wild strawberry, ripe blackberry, morello cherry, olives and garrigue. Full-bodied and structured with concentrated dark fruits, liquorice and subtle spice. Elegant yet powerful, with vibrant tannins and a long, precise finish, this wine combines balance, composure and classic Crau finesse.
The grand vin is produced from 70-year-old vines, with grapes undergoing meticulous sorting—twice in the vineyard and a third time in the winery. Vinified using roughly 30% whole clusters, the 2024 is the first La Crau vintage to include grapes from around one hectare of Cinsault, previously reserved for the Télégramme. The wine is then aged for 22 months in French oak foudres.
