Scoring 92 points from WIne Enthusiast, this blend of Tannat and Cabernet Sauvignon is very similiar to drinking full-bodied Bordeaux. Plump and round with loads of blackberry, black plum and blueberry fruit with toasted notes and baking spices, the Tannat is gracefully balanced with the Cabernet Sauvignon for a long, juicy finish and pleasantly gripping tannins. Not to mention the ability to age for 10+ years.

Producteurs Plaimont

Situated in the heart of South-West France, the Plaimont vineyards stretch from the foothills of the Pyrenees to the hills and valleys of Gascony covering a uniquely rich terroir. A thousand winegrowers defend the ideals of a cooperative and are committed to managing their vineyards with respect for both the environment and their own time-honoured traditions. With a combination of local grape varieties, knowledge and rigorous hard work, the members of Plaimont have succeeded in producing extremely high quality wines from the terroirs of Madiran, Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh, Saint Mont and Côtes de Gascogne.
A powerful, deep and brooding wine. An incredible concentration of dark fruit, tobacco and leather but with an alluring perfume and spice.
Slow roasted lamb
The grapes producing this wine are grown on a terroir that is geologically unique to Madiran, ancient gravelly-clay soils which favour water drainage. These soils are predominately found midway up the appellation’s very steep slopes and express classic Madiran at its most noble. An oceanic, temperate climate with mild winters and hot, stormy summers.
