Kirrihill

Kirrihill is a boutique winery in South Australia’s Clare Valley. Founded in 1998 by friends and locals, Sean Edwards and Rob Stanway, with the focus on growing the best quality fruit possible, managing the vineyards sustainably and respecting individual sites. The micro-climates within the three small valleys that make up the Clare Valley region provide such diversity of fruit, creating expressive and aromatic Rieslings. Sitting atop the ‘Golden Mile’, a stretch of rare terra rossa soil, the Schobers Vineyard is one of the most distinguished red wine producing vineyards in Australia and has consistently produced Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon wines rich in distinctive Clare Valley character.
Mulberry leaf and nutty spice aromas that lead to a layered palate of dark fruit and savoury herbs, with mouth-filling texture offering great intensity and richness. Chalky tannins are seamlessly integrated from maturation in French and American oak hogsheads for 20 months.
