Château du Courlat

From the long driveway of Cyprus trees on your approach, this estate inspires peace and tranquility. Nature is present at every turn, with a large lake at the centre of vines, forest and Château.
This wine is produced from 100% Merlot grapes, produced by the oldest vines on the estate. A wine of great depth, showing a tightly knit structure, rich in stewed plum fruit with a lick of liqourice giving added intensity. The tannins are ripe and succulent and the finish beautifully balanced. Superb value for money.
Pair with classic meat dishes, veal, pork, beef, lamb, duck, game, roast chicken, roasted, braised and grilled dishes.
Fermented in stainless and cement vats, with manual pumping over. Aged in vats and fine-grained French oak barrels, 30% of which is new.
