Finca Constancia marks a new era in Gonzalez Byass’ wine business. Identifying a need for modern, fruit-driven wines, together with an ambition to produce wines of the highest quality, the company researched areas where this goal could be realised. In 2001, the planting programme began on a new 220 hectare property in Otero, near Toledo, and a state of the art winery was built using the latest technology, and with careful regard to environmental impact. Finca Constancia represents the new face of Spanish winemaking, with a range of innovative blends and single plot varietals.
In the nose the red ripe fruit, plums, cherries, strawberries and redcurrants stand out. It is smooth and engaging on the palate, with sweet tannins that make it velvety and pleasant. Well structured, with a long and intense finish.
Serve with red meat.
