Domaine du Tariquet
Since 1912 Château du Tariquet has been home to the Grassa family. They first gained notoriety for Hélène and Pierre Grassa's Armagnac, which is still produced today. In the 1980's their children, Maïté and Yves, broke all the rules by producing their first still wines, a blend of Ugni Blanc and Colombard. A few years later, they heavily planted and created untraditional blends such as Sauvignon-Chardonnay and Chenin-Chardonnay and word of mouth is how the Tariquet taste and fashion was born.
This dry, fruity wine boasts magnificent intensity and lovely open floral and citrus scents, with a delightfully exotic feel. A bracing, crisp wine with great freshness in the mouth. The finish pleasantly revives the palate.
Serve with a cold meat platter.
Dwight Casimere, The Times Weekly, 2015: Domaine du Tariquet is a real thirst quencher with a light, well-balanced flavor that puts the essence of summer in a glass."
