Domaine du Tunnel
Stéphane Robert has moved his wine-making operations from a small cellar in Saint Péray up into the hills above the town where the old railway tunnel that gives the domaine its name is the perfect environment for vinification and élèvage. The ambient temperature never rises above 15°C even in the height of summer and there is plenty of natural humidity. Stéphane is one of the northern Rhône’s finest winemakers.
Tasting Notes
The bouquet is overt with conspicuous aromas of ripe and rich stone fruits. The palate is succulent, pears and melon fruits meander along the tongue with a soft and soothing acid balance. A lovely, concentrated wine, deep in flavour showing vitality and impressive on the finish. A little age will only enhance its complexity

Try with roasted Hake with a sun dried tomato pesto.
Vinification
Vinified and aged for 8 months in 4 year-old oak barrels.
