Little Wold Vineyard
Market Place Farm has been in the Wilson family for over 70 years. The farm was bought in 1947 by Robert Wilson when the ‘Cave Castle’ estate was split up. At the time Robert bought the farm, it was farmed in a traditionally mixed way. Based just a few miles from House of Townend, we are very delighted to be able to support this local winery as it goes from strength to strength.
Tasting Notes
A wonderful Salmon pink appearance in the glass with fine tight bubbles. The nose gives beautiful aromas of wild strawberry, crushed raspberry that lead to a palate of summer berries, and an elegant subtle toasty note. The finish is dry but beautifully rounded with more of those strawberry notes developing on the palate
Food Matches
Pairs well with light fresh salads or try with tiger prawns cooked with lemon & garlic. A great aperitif with some simple antipasti.
