Close to Bassenthwaite Lake in an area of unimaginable beauty encircled by Cumbrian fells is the perfect home for The Lakes Distillery. They have ideal water from the famous River Derwent with its source high up in the fells along with a team steeped in distilling experience - the perfect combination for creating outstanding spirits!

Tasting Notes

Aromas of dried sultanas, roasted macadamia nuts, chocolate malt, autumn leaves. On the palate the whisky is Light and fruity, blackcurrants, woodspice, chocolate coated coffee beans. The finish is long and almost malty with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg.
