The Liberator - Episode 22, Blood and Chocolate

LIBE020
The Liberator is a label put together by Richard Kelley MW, who is the man behind Dreyfus Ashby. They tend to be quite small but interesting batches which Rick picks up or hears about when he’s out on tour around The Cape. They all have the added bonus of really well thought out labels, some of them being hilariously funny. This is a mature and unusual blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (the blood) and Shiraz (the chocolate).

Nestled in Paarl, Nederburg is South Africa's most decorated name in wine, with more prizes and accolades than any other winery in the country, however winemaker Andrea Freeborough will tell you that she and her team don't make wines to win awards but to please people's palates.
