The King's Ginger
The King's Ginger was specially formulated in 1903 for King Edward VII. Rich and zesty the liqueur was commissioned by the Royal Physician to stimulate and revivify His Majesty whilst exposed to the elements on morning rides in his new horseless carriage.
Tasting Notes
Seductively golden in colour. An instantly warming aroma of ginger, zesty lemon, sherbet and golden syrup. Initial sweetness followed by bite of ginger and lemon tart on the palate. Deliciously satisfying and warming mouthfeel. Lingering and extremely long finish.
Food Matches
Although a great tonic to be appreciated on its own all year round, King's Ginger is also delicious in any number of cocktails and food recipes. Try adding it to a cheesecake recipe!
