Produced since 1873, Velho Barreiro is one of the most appreciated cachaças in Brazil. It has a delicate aroma, due to the careful double distillation production method.
Herby vegetal aromas alongside citrus peel, apples and a little brown sugar. The palate is earthy and spiced with black pepper. Tangy citrus flavours with crisp apples and pears, gently sweet with a good pinch of baking spices. The natural sweet notes linger, along with slightly charred vegetal notes.
